A Day Without a Volunteer

lyrics

Where would we all be
without a blue shirt to see?

No one in the morning
nor afternoon.
No one to help clean
and sweep with the broom.
No one to help wake
the one on the table.
No one to help make
their profiles available.
No one to walk them
or give them their grub.
No one to offer
to give them a scrub.

No one to brush them
and give little treats.
No one to make sure
they have comfy seats.
No one for events
or to drive our big MAC.
No one for the kittens,
especially the black.
No one to stack kits of
our foster supplies.
No one to cross "t's"
and help dot our "i's."

Where would we all be
without a blue shirt to see?

No one to drive
miles to get lots of food.
No one to offer
smiles and lift all our moods.
No one for last checks
and tell them goodnight,
No one to be there
to help turn out the lights.

Where would we all be
without a blue shirt to see?
